Cassee's Ears - Update 1

We went to an audiologist on Wed. She found the same results. After cleaning out Cassee's ears (which took almost an hour for both ears - thanks to Papa for having very small ear canals) the Audiologist did an ear drum test.
Cassee's ear drums didn't respond any better when clean vs. ful of wax. Therefore, we are now going to an ENT (ear, nose and throat doctor) to see what he has to say!
Hopefully this next week we will hear back from the articulation screening too.

  1. that's too bad. hopefully anything that is wrong will be a somewhat easy fix! sam's ears are always filled to the brim with wax too! i clean them out regularly but after about two days it's visible again! how did they clean her ears out completely. i don't think sam would be ok with me cleaning his ears like mom cleans ours!

  2. The audiologist used soap to soften the wax and then spent A LOT of time with a water gun thing (similar to Mom's water pick). Cassee did really well, but I would't recommend that as a way to ever want your ears cleaned out. It was a two hour appointment in the end.
I never can actually SEE the wax in Cassee's ears because it never works it's way out. That's part of the problem.
We see and ENT next. She might need tubes in her ears.
